\u2022 Bashas’ Inc<\/strong>. (62)<\/strong> has named Barry Craft VP of Marketing, Merchandising and Procurement. He will replace Phil Hawkes, who is retiring.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Golub Corporation (81)<\/strong> has named Brian Haaraoja CEO and President. He succeeds Peter Ciacco, who will retire in mid-April. The company also announced Casie Broker has been promoted to Chief Marketing Officer.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The Kroger Co<\/strong>. (273)<\/strong> announced the promotion of Gary Millerchip to the role of Senior VP and CFO, as well as the retirement of Exec VP and CFO Mike Schlotman at the end of 2019. Schlotman will remain CFO until April 3, after which he will stay on as Exec VP and a member of the senior leadership team until Dec. 28.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Giant Food Stores LLC<\/strong> announced that it will acquire five Shop \u2018n Save locations from Supervalu. The five stores will temporarily close on March 27 to begin converting them to Martin\u2019s Food Markets.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Performance Food Group<\/strong> announced a definitive agreement to acquire Eby-Brown Company<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u2022 McLane Company<\/strong>, Inc<\/strong>. has opened a new 400,000 sq. ft. distribution center in Ocala, FL.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Mother’s Market & Kitchen<\/strong> is continuing its expansion with a new location in Manhattan Beach, the company’s ninth store.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Southeast Petro<\/strong> announced it is opening the first Amoco-branded site in Florida.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Southeastern Grocers<\/strong> announced it plans to close 22 Bi-Lo, Winn-Dixie and Harveys supermarkets.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Vintage Grocers<\/strong> closed two of its three locations in California. A store in Thousand Oaks and its newly opened location in Pacific Palisades were closed. The company’s original location in Malibu remains open.<\/p>\n

\u2022 WinCo Foods LLC<\/strong> has entered its 10th state with the opening of two stores in Montana. The locations will be located in Helena and Billings, and each will measure roughly 84,000 sq. ft.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Whole Foods Market Inc<\/strong>. announced it will soon open its 500th store. On April 5 the company plans to open a 70,000 sq. ft., multilevel store in midtown Atlanta, GA.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Associated Food Stores<\/strong> is partnering with CB4 to use artificial intelligence to improve the store experience.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The Kroger Co<\/strong>. is introducing Kroger Pay, a mobile payment solution that combines a customer\u2019s payment and loyalty card information. Kroger Pay recently launched in the retailer\u2019s Columbus, Ohio division. The service will roll out to 10 additional markets in the spring, with plans to go nationwide later this year.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The Kroger Co<\/strong>. is expanding an autonomous grocery delivery partnership with autonomous vehicle manufacturer Nuro from Arizona to Texas.<\/p>\n
