\u2022 Black Bear Diners Inc. (31) <\/strong>has announced that President Anita Adams will be taking over the role of CEO. Former CEO Bruce Dean will transition to Executive Chairman. Also, Jeff Guido has been named COO.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Farmer Boys Food Inc. (15) <\/strong>has named Dave Wetzel as the new Senior VP of Operations.<\/p>\n

\u2022 McDonald’s Corporation (243) <\/strong>has named Lucy Brady as the newly created Chief Digital Customer Engagement Officer.<\/p>\n

\u2022 RAVE Restaurant Group Inc (25)<\/strong> has named Clint Fendley as VP of Finance.<\/p>\n

Mergers & Acquisitions<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\u2022 Landry’s Restaurants Inc.<\/strong> completed the acquisition of HRI Inc<\/strong>. and its assets on Dec 30th<\/sup>. The sale included an undisclosed number of HRI\u2019s company owned restaurants and those not acquired will be closed. The sale did not include the 21 franchised Houlihan\u2019s locations.<\/p>\n

\u2022 YUM! Brands Inc. <\/strong>has agreed to purchase the The Habit Restaurants Inc<\/strong> and their 265 restaurants for $375 million.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The Palm Restaurant Group <\/strong>has filed for bankruptcy and is currently seeking new owners. All of the locations will remain open.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop Inc. <\/strong>has signed multiple expansion agreements that will spread 44 new restaurants across the U.S. in 2020.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Dine Brands Global, Inc. <\/strong>opened a new concept called Applebee\u2019s Express in Mobile, AL. The restaurant will feature a smaller Applebee\u2019s menu and is focused on the fast casual space.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Huey Magoo’s Restaurants LLC <\/strong>has opened a new location in Ocoee, FL that will feature the company\u2019s first drive-thru lane. This gives the company 12 stores with 10 more panned for 2020.<\/p>\n
