The Kroger Co<\/strong>. is remodeling its distribution center in Delaware, OH, adding robotics technology including an automated storage retrieval system.<\/p>\n

Parkland Corporation<\/strong> has agreed to acquire Petroles Crevier Inc., a subsidiary of Crevier Group, a retail and wholesale fuels and lubricants business based in Montreal. The deal includes 174 gas stations.<\/p>\n

Schnuck Markets Inc<\/strong>. has named Ted Schnuck as Exec VP of Supermarkets. Dave Peacock, President and COO, announced he will be leaving the company.<\/p>\n

Retail<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\u2022 Amazon<\/strong>.com Inc<\/strong>. announced Jeff Bezos has stepped down as CEO. Andy Jassy, former CEO of Amazon Web Services will take over the role.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Belk Inc<\/strong>. announced Lisa Harper, CEO, has transitioned to Executive Chair. Nir Patel is being promoted to CEO. Don Hendricks will be promoted to President, and Chris Kolbe is joining the company as Exec VP, Chief Merchandising Officer.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Bloomingdale<\/strong>\u2019s<\/strong> announced the first location of its new store concept, \u201cBloomie\u2019s\u201d, will open on August 26 in Fairfax, VA.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Builders FirstSource Inc<\/strong>. agreed to sell the assets of its standalone Eastern U.S. Gypsum Distribution Operations to L & W Supply<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Dollar General Corp<\/strong>. reported that it expects to offer produce in up to 10,000 of its stores over the next several years.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Dollar General Corp<\/strong>. appointed Albert Wu to the newly created position of VP, Chief Medical Officer.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Gap Inc<\/strong>. said it will close all 81 of its company owned stores in the U.K. and Ireland by the end of September. The company will maintain its online business in both countries.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Mead Lumber Co<\/strong>. Inc<\/strong>. reported that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Heartland Building Center.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 BJ’s Restaurant<\/strong> announced that Gregory Trojan will retire as CEO and President on September 1st<\/sup>. Chief Financial Officer Gregory S. Levin has been named to succeed as CEO.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Captain D’s<\/strong> has promoted Bindi Menon as Chief Marketing Officer.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Chipotle Mexican Grill<\/strong> is currently using TikTok as a hiring tool.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Dickey’s Barbecue Pit<\/strong> is relaunching their Barbecue At Home ecommerce site that will include pre-selected boxes of meat products.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Restaurant Brands International<\/strong> announced that Burger King<\/strong> President Chris Finazzo has left the company. The company has not yet named a replacement, but Burger King Chief Operating Officer Tom Curtis and Chief Marketing Officer Ellie Doty will handle the duties on an interim basis.<\/p>\n
