\u2022 Giant Eagle Inc<\/strong>. announced Bart Friedman has been named as Chairman.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The Kent Companies<\/strong> has entered into an agreement to acquire Tom Thumb Food Stores Inc<\/strong>. The acquisition will include 14 Tom Thumb Food Stores and three Subway franchise locations.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Murphy USA Inc.<\/strong> plans to open 45 new stores in 2023 and replace up to 30 kiosks with small, walk-in stores.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0QuikTrip Corp<\/strong>. has opened a new store in Clinton, MS, its first in the state. The company plans to open an additional five new locations in the state this year.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0Wakefern Food Corp<\/strong>. reported Mike Stigers will assume the role of President effective June 1. Current President Joe Sheridan will remain with the company through the end of the year to help with the transition.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0Belk Inc<\/strong>. reported it is opening five new Belk Outlet locations this week in AR, GA, SC, TN, and VA.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0CVS Health<\/strong> expects to complete its acquisition of Signify Health this week.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0Dollar General Corp<\/strong>. has opened its first store location in Mexico, with a goal of 35 stores in the country by the end of fiscal 2023.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0Chipotle<\/strong> has agreed to pay $240,000 to ex-employees of a store in Maine after the store was closed prior to holding a union vote.<\/p>\n
