\u2022\u00a0BurgerFi<\/strong> has continued to shrink their footprint by closing 8 additional stores.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0McDonalds<\/strong> is planning a $5 value meal this summer as they hope curb losing customers over higher priced items.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0Red Lobster<\/strong> has closed at least 50 locations in an abrupt move. Employees were not notified of the closures and the company\u2019s restaurant equipment is already up for auction. Red Lobster is expected to file for bankruptcy next week and could close even more stores.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0Restaurant Brands International<\/strong> has completed their acquisition of Carrols Restaurant Group, the largest Burger King franchisee in the U.S. The purchase is part of the \u201cReclaim the Flame\u201d plan the will see RBI acquire larger franchisees and refranchise them to smaller operators.<\/p>\n
