Aldi Inc.<\/strong> announced that Jason Hart has been promoted to CEO of Aldi US<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Associated Wholesale Grocers<\/strong> has named David Smith as its new Exec VP Division Operations, succeeding Mike Rand, who is retiring.<\/p>\n

Fairway Markets<\/strong> announced that Howard Glickberg is retiring from the company, but will remain on the Board of Directors.<\/p>\n

Golub Corp.<\/strong> hired Leo Taylor as Senior VP Human Resources.<\/p>\n

The Kroger Co.\u2019s<\/strong> Chairman of the Board, David Dillon, is retiring after 38 years with the company.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Casey’s General Stores<\/strong> discovered a $30 million error in its income taxes. The company said it paid the $30.4 million in taxes and $1.1 million in interest to correct the error and will revise its financial statements for 2012, 2013, and 2014.<\/p>\n

Empire Petroleum Partners LLC<\/strong> announced that it has successfully acquired 17 former Corner Store<\/strong> locations in Texas from CST Brands Inc.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fresh Encounter, Inc.<\/strong> has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Chief Super Market.<\/strong><\/p>\n

GPM Investments LLC<\/strong> signed an agreement with Road Ranger LLC<\/strong>, to acquire 43 convenience stores.<\/p>\n

Pace Development Corp.<\/strong> is acquiring Dean & DeLuca<\/strong> for $140 million.<\/p>\n

Aldi<\/strong> USA <\/strong>opened a store in Houston, TX, and <\/strong>plans to open 650 new stores across the country by the end of 2018.<\/p>\n

Food Lion<\/strong> renovated 45 Greater Greenville, New Bern, and Jacksonville, NC stores.<\/p>\n

The Fresh Market<\/strong> will open a store in Plantation, FL, and opened a store in Dallas, TX.<\/p>\n

Harris<\/strong> Teeter<\/strong> opened a store in Baltimore, MD.<\/p>\n

Jamieson Family Markets<\/strong> opened a new 36,000 sq.-ft. Shop ‘n Save<\/strong> in Youngwood, PA.<\/p>\n

Key Food Stores Co-operative<\/strong>\u00a0introduced a new banner called Food Universe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Kroger Co<\/strong>. opened a 125,000-sq.-ft. Marketplace store in Jonesboro, AK.<\/p>\n

Publix Super Markets<\/strong> will open a location in Mint Hill, NC; Birmingham, AL; and a 45,600 sq.-ft. Publix Sabor Market<\/strong> in Miami, FL.<\/p>\n
