Albertsons announced that Shane Sampson, Exec VP and Chief Marketing and Merchandising Officer, has decided to leave the company.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2022 Brookshire Grocery Co. (110)<\/strong> announced Suzanne Osbourn has been promoted to VP, Partner Relations and Development, and Jason Cooper has been promoted to VP, Corporate Development and Real Estate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2022 Casey\u2019s General Stores Inc. (89)<\/strong> announced Terry Handley, its President and CEO, has left the company. Darren Rebelez will take over.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2022 The Grocery Manufacturers Association (12)<\/strong> has hired Bryan Zumwalt as Exec VP, Public Affairs and Stacy Papadopoulos as General Counsel and Senior VP of Operations and Special Initiatives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2022 Harps Food Stores Inc.<\/strong> <strong>(42)<\/strong> announced J. The new store is expected to open by fall of 2020.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2022 King Kullen Grocery Co. Inc.<\/strong> is closing three supermarkets in New York.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2022 Wakefern Food Corp.<\/strong> plans to remodel 17 more Price Rite Marketplace stores this year in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York and Pennsylvania, with additional locations slated for redesign in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Technology News<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>\u2022 7-Eleven Inc.<\/strong> has introduced mobile checkout in New York, using the 7-Eleven app.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2022 Giant Eagle Inc.<\/strong> is teaming with Grabango, a checkout-free technology provider, on a first-of-its-kind partnership to create a no-wait checkout experience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2022 Wakefern Food Corp.<\/strong> is opening a fulfillment center in Clifton, NJ that leverages hyperlocal, automated technology from Takeoff Technologies.
