Competition from home center warehouses combined with the poor economy were described as key reasons for the business struggle.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"background: white;\"><\/div>\n<div><b><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;\">Moxham Hardware<\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;\">, a 104-year-old hardware store in <st1:place w:st=\"on\"><st1:city w:st=\"on\">Johnstown<\/st1:city>, <st1:state w:st=\"on\">Pa.<\/st1:state><\/st1:place>, has closed. Owner John Cotchen, 83, is retiring. Moxham Hardware originally opened in 1907.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;\">Orchard Supply Hardware Stores Corp<\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;\">. announced that its spin-off from Sears Holdings Corporation was completed Dec. 30, 2011. Trading of Orchard\u2019s Class A Common Stock began the first day of the new year under the symbol \u201c<st1:place w:st=\"on\"><st1:city w:st=\"on\">OSH<\/st1:city><\/st1:place>\u201d. \u00a0<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;\">Orchard Supply Hardware Stores Corp<\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;\">. announced <span>the company plans to open up to three new stores and remodel up to six locations.\u00a0<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;\">Parker Lumber<\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt;\"> is closing in <st1:place w:st=\"on\"><st1:city w:st=\"on\">Maitland<\/st1:city>, <st1:state w:st=\"on\">Fla.<\/st1:state><\/st1:place>after 77 years, to make way for a commuter rail station.\u00a0 Lumber orders and hardware sales have declined since 2006.
