Since its founding in 1941 by Travis Dickey in Dallas, TX, the Dickey\u2019s Barbecue Pit chain has become the fastest-growing barbecue concept in the U.S. The company began franchising in 1994, and today franchisees operate more than 90% of the locations. Dickey\u2019s restaurants offer smoked brisket, chicken, pork, ham, sausage, and turkey in a fast-casual environment. Beer and wine are available in select locations.<\/p>\n

Dickey\u2019s current business model for new franchisees focuses on restaurants in leased spaces of approximately 1,800 square feet located in shopping centers.
