Beacon Roofing Supply, Inc. is quietly one of the largest distributors of residential and non-residential roofing and complementary building products in North America.\u00a0 The recently announced financials for the fiscal year ended September, 2013, broke company records for both annual sales as well as fourth quarter sales.\u00a0 These milestones, after similar successes for the year prior.<\/p>\n

Perhaps more remarkable, even though approximately half of this company\u2019s sales are historically based on distribution to residential builders, the company has only experienced annual sales declines twice since the start of the recession.\u00a0 One of those drops was just under a modest three percent, for 2009.\u00a0 The following year saw a further drop of just over seven percent.\u00a0 This came during a period when much of the nation\u2019s residential building industry was pretty much crippled and struggling to stay afloat.<\/p>\n

Much of Beacon\u2019s success can be attributed to its considerable network of sites, staffed by locally based personnel.\u00a0 This serves to foster communications with clientele based on real community conditions.\u00a0 It also allows the company to anticipate actual client needs and speeds up transactions including sales of the above noted complementary products and services.<\/p>\n

While Beacon headquarters remain in Peabody, MA, not far from the community in which it was originally founded, the corporate office is located in Herndon, VA.\u00a0 This seems consistent with the company\u2019s platform of serving diverse regions with a knowledgeable personal touch.<\/p>\n
