First built in 1987, the store pioneered the entertainment retail concept. The\u00a0<st1:city w:st=\"on\"><st1:place w:st=\"on\">Glendale<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>\u00a0store will be just one of many planned remodels in 2012.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;\"><b><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 11pt;\">Marbles: The Brain Store<\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 11pt;\">, the Chicago-based retailer that sells toys and other products designed to stimulate and strengthen the brain, announced that it has received $5.5 million from private inve<\/p>\n<p>stors, which the company will use to open 10 stores on the East Coast and in Chicago this year.\u00a0\u00a0Nine of the new shops will be in\u00a0<st1:state w:st=\"on\">New Jersey<\/st1:state>,\u00a0<st1:state w:st=\"on\">Massachusetts<\/st1:state>\u00a0and\u00a0<st1:state w:st=\"on\">Maryland<\/st1:state>, with one in\u00a0<st1:city w:st=\"on\"><st1:place w:st=\"on\">Chicago<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>, CEO Lindsay Gaskins said. Marbles is looking to expand to the West Coast and the South in 2012.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;\"><b><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 11pt;\">Target<\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 11pt;\">\u00a0has unveiled the first wave of the Zellers sites it will be taking over in\u00a0<st1:country-region w:st=\"on\"><st1:place w:st=\"on\">Canada<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region>, representing 105 locations in all 10 Canadian provinces. \u00a0The vast majority of the sites will become Target stores after securing the necessary construction approval for extensive renovation. The stores will open beginning in 2013.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 11pt;\">The majority (45) of the locations are in\u00a0<st1:state w:st=\"on\">Ontario<\/st1:state>, with 19 in\u00a0<st1:state w:st=\"on\"><st1:place w:st=\"on\">Quebec<\/st1:place><\/st1:state>. The company will occupy about 180,000 sq. ft. in a building that was built to LEED (Leadership in Energy &#038; Environmental Design) Gold standards and is owned by Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan. The new store is scheduled to be completed in fall 2012.
