<\/strong>The former President of Pharmacy at CVS Caremark,<\/strong> Mark Cosby has announced he will be leaving CVS for Office Depot.<\/p>\n

Michael M. Nuzzo, Exec VP and CFO of GNC Holdings Inc<\/strong>., is resigning in order to accept an executive position at an unspecified private equity-funded consumer products company.<\/p>\n

McKesson<\/strong> announced Lori Schechter will replace Laureen Seeger as Exec VP, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer.<\/p>\n

Sport Clips Inc<\/strong>. announced Mark Kartarik as President.<\/p>\n

Mike Motz, currently Exec VP and Chief Merchandising Officer, will become the President of Shoppers Drug Mart<\/strong> upon the departure of Domenic Pilla.<\/p>\n

Walgreens<\/strong> announced that Kermit Crawford, President of Pharmacy, is retiring.<\/p>\n

Industry Insight<\/strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong>CVS Caremark<\/strong> announced that it has entered into new clinical affiliations with four healthcare providers: ProHealth Physicians in Connecticut, Texas Health Resources in Texas, Palmetto Health in South Carolina and the Baton Rouge Clinic in Louisiana.<\/p>\n

Hy-Vee <\/strong>announced the opening of a Quick Care Clinic<\/strong> in one of its stores in Kearney, NE.<\/p>\n

Rite Aid <\/strong>and Heritage Provider Network<\/strong>, one of California\u2019s largest healthcare provider networks, announced it has entered into an agreement to bring the Rite Aid Health Alliance program to HPN\u2019s chronic and polychronic patients across Southern California.<\/p>\n

Safeway’s<\/strong> in-store pharmacies will lower their counters, eliminate glass partitions and add doors that make it easier for pharmacists and customers to interact.<\/p>\n

Mergers and Acquisitions<\/strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong>CVS Caremark<\/strong> announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Navarro Discount Pharmacy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Loblaw<\/strong> will sell two No Frills stores to Metro Inc., and two Shoppers Drug Mart<\/strong> stores to the Jean Coutu Group. Additionally, Canada\u2019s Competition Bureau approved the license of nine pharmacies within Loblaw stores to Remedy’s Rx.<\/p>\n

Kroger Co.<\/strong> has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Vitacost.com.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Real Estate<\/strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong>Birchbox<\/strong> opened its first brick-and-mortar store in New York City.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rite Aid<\/strong> plans to convert an additional 450 of its stores to its new Wellness concept by the end of 2015.The chain has already converted 1,300 of its 4,600 stores to the new format.<\/p>\n

Walgreens <\/strong>will open a flagship store in Honolulu, Hawaii next year.<\/p>\n
