\u2022 <\/span><\/strong>BMC Stock Holdings <\/strong>appointed Carey Phelps, formerly of Beazer Homes, as Director of Investor Relations.<\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/span><\/strong>Lowe’s <\/strong>named James Han as its new Senior VP of Business Development. Han\u2019s last position was with Tyco International.<\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/span><\/strong>Lumber Liquidators <\/strong>named Martin Agard as CFO and Christopher Thomsen as CIO.<\/p>\n

Industry Insight<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/span><\/strong>Home Depot <\/strong>revealed plans in its recent earnings call to expand its BODFS (buy online and deliver from store) program to all 2,200 stores by the end of the year. By using local stores to fulfill online deliveries, Home Depot believes it can provide customers with shorter delivery windows.<\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/span><\/strong>Lowe\u2019s <\/strong>reaffirmed its plans to increase total store count by 45 units by the end of the current fiscal year (FYE 1.31.17).<\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/span><\/strong>Sears<\/strong> is getting back into the paint game which it exited in 2012. Ten test markets will carry paint cans featuring the Craftsman, Weatherbeater and Easy Living brands.<\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/span><\/strong>Tractor Supply <\/strong>announced cuts to full-year projections for revenue and earnings. Its stock price promptly fell off a cliff.<\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/span><\/strong>US LBM<\/strong> acquired Michigan-based Keene Lumber,<\/strong> which will become a division of Standard Supply & Lumber.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/span><\/strong>ABC Supply Co.<\/strong> is acquiring L&W Supply Corporation,<\/strong> a distributor of gypsum wallboard and suspended ceiling tile, in a deal that should finalize by year\u2019s end.<\/p>\n

Real Estate<\/strong><\/span>
<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/span><\/strong>84 Lumberplans<\/strong> 12 new locations in the next 18 months with a focus on Texas markets \u2013 Austin, Dallas and Houston \u2013 that are central to the company\u2019s current expansion initiatives.<\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/span><\/strong>Guardian Building Products<\/strong> opened a new, larger distribution center in Albuquerque, NM, replacing the old facility.<\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/span><\/strong>McCoy\u2019s Building Supply <\/strong>will open two new Texas stores in 2017 in Alvin and Montgomery. Store footprints will be 18,000 square feet of retail space with a 20-25,000-square-foot lumber yard.<\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/span><\/strong>Mendards <\/strong>has two new stores in the works for Johnson County, Kansas.<\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/span><\/strong>Running Supply<\/strong> opened a new 60,000-square-foot store in Belle Fourche, SD replacing the old location with 4x the floor space. Total store count remains 39.<\/p>\n
