Starting with YUM! Brands in 2003, MUY! Brands grew to become the second largest Pizza Hut franchisee in the US (behind NPC International) and a substantial Taco Bell partner. In recent years, the company pieced together a Wendy\u2019s portfolio. With 17 Wendy\u2019s units at the beginning of 2014, MUY is now its largest franchisee \u2013 an April 2016 purchase of 75 units from Great Lakes Restaurant Management LLC put it over the top. With Wendy\u2019s reaching the end of its refranchising initiative, no purchases from corporate are expected in the near term. However, opportunistic acquisitions in adjacent territories from other franchisees are likely for Wendy\u2019s and Pizza Hut in particular.<\/p>\n
