• Buc-ee’s Ltd. opened its first location in Virginia this week. The 74,000 sq. ft. store is in Mt. Crawford, VA.

• C & S Wholesale Grocers Inc. has agreed to acquire SpartanNash Company. The transaction is expected to close later this year.

• Georgia Market has named Zev Werts as its new Owner, after Ray Bouffard has retired.

• Heritage Grocers Group said it has named Leticia G. Espinoza as its new Chief Administrative Officer.

• The Kroger Co. reported that it plans to close approximately 60 locations by the end of 2026.

• Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores Inc. has named Tim Langley-Hawthorne as its new Chief Technology Officer.

• Refuel Operating Company, LLC has promoted Travis Smith and Jon Rier to co-CEOs of the company. Mark Jordan will become Chairman.

• BJ’s Wholesale Club Holdings Inc. reported it plans to open a new store in Springfield, MA.

• Boise Cascade Company has promoted Rob Johnson to Senior VP of Manufacturing.

• J.Jill, Inc. has appointed Courtney O’Connor as Senior VP and Chief Merchandising Officer. She succeeds Shelley Liebsch, who has left the company.

• Mango Inc. has opened its 50^th store in the U.S., with a new location in Portland, OR.

• Spencer Spirit Holdings Inc. plans to hire approximately 50,000 people to support more than 1,500 Spirit Halloween locations expected to open in the United States and Canada later this holiday season.

• Tailored Brands, Inc. has promoted John Tighe to CEO, effective August 5. Peter Sachse will transition from to Executive Chairman.

• Ulta Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrance, Inc. announced that its CFO, Paula Oyibo, has left the company. Chris Lialios has been appointed as Interim CFO.

• Darden Restaurants Inc. reported that Dan Kiernan, President of Olive Garden, will retire August 31. He will be succeeded by John Wilkerson, current President of Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen.

• Inspire Brands announced Shannan Siemens has been promoted to Chief Communications Officer.

• Jack in the Box Inc. has announced the appointment of Shannon McKinney as Senior VP, COO.

• Qdoba Mexican Eats has recently opened its 800^th location, in Miami, FL.

• Smashburger Master LLC announced Denise Nelsen, its CEO, is no longer with the company. No successor has been named yet.
