• C & S Wholesale Grocers Inc. has completed its acquisition of SpartanNash Company.

• Giant Eagle Inc. reported it plans to open a new 20,000 sq. ft. grocery store in downtown Columbus, OH. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026.

• Price Rite Marketplace will open a new 34,000 sq. ft. store in Waterbury, CT, next week.

• Wawa Inc. plans to open 10 new stores in Central Pennsylvania during the next five years.

• WinCo Foods LLC has plans to open a store in Cheyenne, WY. It will be the first for the company in the state of Wyoming.

• Artistry Restaurants has named Jeff Brooks as its new President of its Shrimp Basket chain.

• Blue Bottle Coffee is rolling out its first loyalty program.

• Cava Group, Inc. opened its first location in Detroit, MI, this week.

• Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc. announced it plans to close 14 Maple Street Biscuit Company locations in 2026.

• Happy Joe’s Pizza & Ice Cream Parlor Inc. has named Abby Rock as VP of Marketing. Ashley Balluff has been appointed as VP of Training and Culinary Services. Jenny Culp has been named VP of Purchasing and Supply Chain. Christopher Anschutz has been appointed VP of Restaurant Operations.

• The Portillo Restaurant Group announced its President and CEO, Michael Osanloo, has left the company. Michael A. Miles Jr., current Chairman, has been appointed as interim CEO.

• Salad and Go reported it plans to close 41 of its restaurants in Oklahoma and Texas.

• Shake Shack Inc. has named Michael Fanuele as the first Chief Brand Officer for the company.

• Sweetgreen, Inc. recenlty opened its first store in Arizona. The 2,515 sq. ft. location is in Scottsdale.

• Taco Bell Corp. announced Taylor Montgomery has been promoted to Global Chief Brand Officer. Luis Restrepo has been promoted to Chief Marketing Officer of the United States. Dane Mathews has been named Global Chief Digital & Technology Officer. Amy Ellis Durini has been promoted to International Chief Marketing Officer. Julie Davis has named Chief Development Officer of International.

• Chico’s FAS Inc. has named Trish Donnelly as its new CEO.

• Kodiak Building Partners recently promoted Mike Flood to the role of COO.

• Lumber King Inc. has appointed Jim Lensing as its new President.

• The Neiman Marcus Group reported it is closing its department store in Plano, TX. The retailer also plans to close its store in Downtown Dallas, TX, after this holiday season.

• The ODP Corporation has entered into an agreement to be acquired by a private equity group and will no longer be publicly traded.

• Rural King Supply opened its first store in Mississippi this week, in the city of Columbus.
