• Rouses Enterprises LLC will acquire 10 Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarket locations in Louisiana and Mississippi from Southeastern Grocers. The stores will be rebranded to Rouses Markets in early 2026.
• Whole Foods Market plans to open two new Whole Foods Market Daily Shops before the end of the year. A 7,888 sq. ft. store in Brooklyn, NY, will open on December 11. A 4,841 sq. ft. store in Hoboken, NJ, will open on December 18.

• Bagels & Co. announced that Kevin Armantrout has been named COO of the company.
• GoTo Foods has appointed Nathan Baldwin as the new Chief Brand Officer for Auntie Anne’s Inc.
• Insomnia Cookies recently opened its 350th store location. The company plans to open more than 75 new locations in 2026.
• M&M Custard has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

• Papa John’s International, Inc. announced that Ravi Thanawala has been promoted to CFO and President, North America. Chris Lyn-Sue has been promoted to Senior VP, General Manager of International. The company also announced Joe Sieve, Chief Restaurant and Global Development Officer, is leaving the company.
• Peet’s Coffee & Tea Inc. announced that Eric Lauterbach, its CEO, has left the company. He will be succeeded by Stuart Heflin.

• Jill, Inc. has appointed Viv Rettke as its first Chief Growth Officer.
• Old Navy has partnered with DoorDash to offer delivery to its digital customers.
• Saks Incorporated announced it will close nine of its Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH stores in early 2026.
• Shoe Carnival Inc. is reportedly changing its corporate name to Shoe Station Group Inc. The company expects more than 90% of its stores to operate as Shoe Station by the end of fiscal 2028.
• Walmart Stores Inc. announced that its CEO, Doug McMillon, will retire on January 31, 2026. He will be succeeded by John Furner.
