Free Trial• Associated Wholesale Grocers has named Kelly Kauffman as Chief Financial Officer, effective July 20. Gary Koch is retiring at the end of 2026 after more than 30 years with AWG.

• The Raley’s Companies has named Carol Barsotti as Chief Marketing Officer and promoted Natalie Slatter to Senior Vice President of enterprise operations and Levi Wingo to Senior Vice President of sales and merchandising strategy.

• Kroger is launching Wine Shop concepts at 14 stores in its Cincinnati/Dayton Division and has identified nearly 150 locations for the concept.

• Kroger has scrapped plans for 80 Harris Teeter locations in Florida, while one Jacksonville store under construction remains on track to open.

• Aldi has filed plans for its first Colorado stores near Denver International Airport and in Denver’s Central Park neighborhood.

• ExtraMile Convenience Stores has expanded its supplier relationship with Core-Mark, adding 1,034 locations to the distributor’s network.

• Seven & i Holdings reported 30 new 7-Eleven North America store openings in the first quarter and plans 205 new stores for fiscal 2026.

 

Restaurant

• Latitude Food Group has named James O’Reilly as Chief Executive Officer. Cody Towns, who served as interim CEO, is now a board member.

• Angry Chickz will open its first Ontario, CA, restaurant on July 17, bringing the chain to 38 California restaurants and 43 systemwide.

• Cousins Subs will open a new Green Bay, WI, restaurant on July 20, with a grand opening celebration scheduled for July 21.

• Qdoba has signed development agreements for more than 100 franchised restaurants across the Southeast and West.

• The Melt has opened its first airport restaurant at San Francisco International Airport’s Harvey Milk Terminal 1.

• Zaxby’s has expanded to New York City with planned locations in the Bronx and Manhattan.

• Chipotle has made its debut in Mexico.

 

Retail

• Best Buy has named Frank Bedo, Chief Strategy and Growth Officer; Patrick McGinnis, Chief Revenue Officer; Luke Motschenbacher, Chief Retail and Services Officer; Lisa Valentino, Chief Ads and Media Officer; and Duane Scarboro Chief Fulfillment and Operations Officer.

• PVH has named Alexis Rollier as Chief Financial Officer, effective in early September.

 J. Crew has named Kathleen Van Nest Pierce as President of the J. Crew brand, effective August 4.

• Nordstrom has named Brooke Bobb as Vice President and Fashion Director, effective in August.

• Bath & Body Works has opened its first store in Brazil in São Paulo and launched an online presence in the country.

• Tailored Brands plans to open more than 500 stores over the next decade, starting with 20 this year and more than 35 in fiscal 2027.

Foot Locker is adding Salomon footwear to its assortment beginning July 19 as part of its merchandise refresh.
