Retail

• Furniture Factory Outlet LLC filed for bankruptcy protection, citing tight cash and supply chain disruption related to the COVID‑19 pandemic.

Restaurant

• Captain D’s LLC is planning to launch a new restaurant concept that has a smaller footprint and does not feature a dining room.

• Chipotle Mexican Grill has opened their first digital kitchen in Highland Falls, NY. The new location will be open for pick-up and delivery only.

• Jake’s Franchising LLC has opened a new location in Lock Haven, PA. The location is the first to be included within a truck stop that the company hopes will drive sales during the COVID‑19 pandemic.

• Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs has launched a new virtual concept called Wings of New York. Nathan’s is one of many companies that have debuted virtual wing concepts during the COVID‑19 pandemic.

• NPC International Inc. has entered an asset purchase agreement with Flynn Restaurant Group LLC. Flynn is looking to buy the company out of bankruptcy for $816 million. Bankruptcy was filed in part from complications caused by COVID‑19.

• Pizza Inn is now offering curbside pick-up as part of their Contactless Buffet To-Go which debuted as part of their response to the COVID‑19 pandemic.
