• The Food Industry Association has appointed Rachel Anderson as its new VP of Business Development. Jessica Tanner has been appointed as its Director of Legal Operations.

• Majors Management LLC has acquired 35 Circle K convenience store locations across IN, OH and PA, from Couche-Tard Inc.

• Publix Super Markets Inc. recently opened new grocery stores in Foley and Meridianville, AL, and another in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

• Refuel Operating Company, LLC recently acquired eight convenience stores in Mississippi. The locations will be rebranded to its Double Quick concept.

• Saval Foods LLC has acquired Pastore Inc., in Baltimore, MD.

• Save-A-Lot Holdings, Inc. has partnered with Leevers Supermarkets Inc. to open a new concept cater to Hispanic customers, called Save A Lot y Mas.

• Tawa Supermarkets Inc. plans to open its first 99 Ranch Market location in New York City.

• Trader Joe’s Co. reported it plans to open 7 new locations in LA, MA, NY, UT, and VA in the coming months.

Retail

• Big 5 Sporting Goods Corp. has agreed to be acquired and is going private. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of this year.

• The Body Shop Inc. announced Mike Jatania, its Executive Chairman, has been named as its CEO.

• Family Dollar Stores Inc. is no longer part of Dollar Tree Stores Inc.  The private company will remain headquartered in Chesapeake, VA.

• Kuiken Brothers Co. Inc. has appointed Matt Berger, Michael Kuiken, and Jeff Woodthree as new Regional Managers. Jose Silva has been named as Senior Operations Strategy Manager.

• IKEA North America will open a new 88,500 sq. ft. store in Syracuse, NY.

• Nordstrom Inc. recently opened a new 3,000 sq. ft. Nordstrom Local in Williamsburg, NY.

• Ollie’s Bargain Outlet Holdings recently opened its first store in Nebraska. The retailer will enter another new state later this month with its first store in New Hampshire.

• Rack Room Shoes Inc. announced Brian Burnett has been promoted to Senior VP, Chief Merchandise Officer. Molly Hartney has been promoted to Chief Digital Officer.

• RH recently opened a new 45,000 sq. ft. location in Oklahoma City, OK.

• Warby Parker Inc. recently opened its 300^th store location. The retailer will open 45 new stores this year.

• Weyerhaeuser Co. has opened two new distribution centers in Spokane, WA, and Billings, MT.

• Williams-Sonoma, Inc. will open new Pottery Barn and West Elm stores in Fort Worth, TX.

• CEC Entertainment Inc. has debuted a spin-off concept for adults called Chuck’s Arcade. The company has opened 10 locations so far in CT, FL, MO, NH, NY, OK, AND TX, and plans to open more.

• Fat Brands Inc. announced it will open 40 new Fatburger restaurants in Florida over the next 10 years.

• Wagamama US announced the appointment of Suk Singh as Chief Development Officer.

• The Wendy’s Company announced its President and CEO, Kirk Tanner, is leaving the company. The company’s CFO, Ken Cook, has appointed as interim CEO.
