Free Trial• Fareway Stores Inc. has promoted Jeff Dighton to Senior VP Finance and Treasurer. Roxanne Kanne-Roush has been promoted to Senior VP Training and Development. Roger Wirtz has been promoted to VP Northern Region. Mark DeYoung has been promoted to VP Retail Construction and Maintenance. Zach Lane has been promoted to VP Retail Systems. Jeff Boggess has been promoted to the role of VP Facilities and Maintenance. Taylor Blanchard has been promoted to Assistant VP Marketing.

• Loblaw Companies Limited plans to open 34 new Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix drug stores, and 31 new No Frills and Maxi grocery stores, and five T&T Supermarkets in California and Washington. The company also plans to remodel another 191 of its stores by the end of 2026.

• Sprouts Farmers Markets Inc. has appointed Don Clark as the company’s new Chief Merchandising Officer. Amanda Rassi has been named as the company’s new Chief Customer Officer. Scott Neal, Chief Merchandising Officer, will be retiring from the company.

• Sprouts Farmers Markets Inc. plans to open more than 40 new grocery stores in 2026.

 

Restaurant

• Del Taco Restaurants Inc. has reportedly closed all its locations in the state of Georgia.

• First Watch Restaurants Inc. announced that its CFO, Mel Hope, will retire later this year.

• Huey Magoo’s Restaurants LLC plans to open four new restaurants in Birmingham, AL, and eight new locations in north Dallas, TX.

• Sage Hospitality Group has promoted Daniel del Olmo to President and CEO. He succeeds Walter Isenberg, who is transitioning to Executive Chairman. Zack Neumeyer will take on the role of Vice Chairman.

• Shipley Do-Nuts reported it will open three new locations in Las Vegas, NV. They will be the first stores in Nevada for the company, which will also open three new locations in Georgia, five new locations in Louisiana, and three new locations in Texas.

• Topgolf International, Inc. announced David McKillips has been named as its new CEO.

 

Retail

• The Home Depot Inc. reported it plans to open 15 new store locations in 2026.

• House-Hasson Hardware Co Inc. announced that it has named Jeff Land as its new CEO.

• Kilwin’s Chocolates Franchise Inc. plans to enter the state of Arizona. The retailer will open more than 20 locations in the Phoenix–Scottsdale area over the next three to five years.

• Roots Canada Ltd. announced the appointment of Rosie Pouzar as its new Chief Commercial Officer.

• Shoe Carnival Inc. announced that Mark Worden has retired as President and CEO of the company. Cliff Sifford, the company’s Vice Chairman, has been named as Interim President and CEO until a replacement is named.

• The TJX Companies Inc. reported it plans to open 146 new stores and remodel 540 stores, in 2026.
