• Food Lion plans to open six additional stores across the Carolinas and Georgia by year-end, bringing its 2026 new-store openings to 10.
• FriendShip Kitchen has named Korri Shaheen Chief Operating Officer as part of parent Beck Suppliers LLC’s succession plan.
• GoMart Inc. will add two Wienerschnitzel/Tastee Freez restaurants at West Virginia locations in Kanawha City and Ghent, with additional sites planned over five years.
• Harps Food Stores Chairman and CEO Kim Eskew will retire January 15, 2027. President J. Max Van Hoose will succeed him as Chairman and CEO.
• Harris Teeter will invest about $253 million over three years to modernize Charlotte-area stores and develop three new locations in Fort Mill, Lake Wylie, and Kannapolis.
• Jewel-Osco opened its 190th store in St. John, Indiana, a 70,000-square-foot location and its fifth store in northwest Indiana.
• Natural Grocers will open its second Wisconsin store in Appleton on September 30.
• Publix plans to open new Kentucky stores at Gateway Commons on October 3 and Farmview Commons on October 7 as it expands toward 12 stores in the state by year-end.
• Sprouts Farmers Market opened its 500th store in The Woodlands/Spring, Texas, on September 12 and also opened in Sewell, New Jersey, with additional stores planned for Carson, California and Mesa, Arizona.
• Stater Bros. Markets has promoted Mike Reed to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective September 28.

• 85°C Bakery Cafe will open its 100th U.S. location and first Colorado restaurant in Aurora on September 18.
• Buffalo Wild Wings GO will open a Glen Allen, Virginia, location on September 22, the franchisee’s 10th Buffalo Wild Wings location in Virginia.
• Domino’s franchisee Mile High Pizza Company closed 13 locations in north-central Ohio.
• Einstein Bros. Bagels has named Patrick Waldron Chief Development Officer; Shawna Fehrman-Lee Chief People Officer; and Will Evans Chief Financial Officer.
• El Pollo Loco opened its second Albuquerque, New Mexico, restaurant on September 16.
• everbowl has named Anna Gabele Brand President and Natalie Trzcinski Chief Operating Officer.
• Famous Brands International expanded its development agreement with Batt Enterprises to add 15 new TCBY and Mrs. Fields locations across Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
