• Big Y Foods, Inc. has appointed Bryan St. Clair Vice President of Information Technology.
• Circle K will open its first multi-brand travel center in Binghamton, New York, this fall, with a second Watertown location expected in January 2027.
• Hy-Vee will retire its Dollar Fresh Market banner and rebrand the remaining 18 locations as Hy-Vee stores.
• Lidl US will open a new store in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood on Oct. 7, its fourth New York metro-area opening in six weeks.
• Meijer has opened a 75,000-square-foot Meijer Grocery store in Fishers, Indiana, and a 159,000-square-foot supercenter in Plymouth Township, Michigan.
• Sheetz plans to open its first Indiana store in Indianapolis in late summer 2027, the first of 100 planned locations in the state.
• Sprouts Farmers Market will open new stores in San Diego, California, and Limerick, Pennsylvania, on Oct. 2.
• Walmart has opened a new Neighborhood Market in Crestview, Florida, its seventh Neighborhood Market in the state.
• Weis Markets has promoted Tom Domaracki to Director of Private Brands, Rob Dacko to Director of Deli and Prepared Foods, and John Cooper to Director of Strategic Initiatives.
• Winn-Dixie has named Shawn Sloan Chief of Store Operations. He most recently served as Vice President of Fresh Merchandising.

• Bubbakoo’s Burritos opened a new restaurant in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on Sept. 29.
• CAVA has named John Ludeke Chief Marketing Officer, effective Oct. 12.
• El Pollo Loco has signed three development agreements for 15 New York-area restaurants over the next five years, with its first Queens location targeted for mid-2027.
• Mokas Coffee & Eatery opened its first franchise-owned location in Olathe, Kansas, on Sept. 30, with five additional Kansas City-area locations planned.
• Nick the Greek has opened a new restaurant in Santa Clarita, California, with another regional location planned.
• Ono Hawaiian BBQ will open its second Texas restaurant in McKinney on Oct. 2.

• Central Garden & Pet Company has transitioned leadership of its Garden segment to Jason Barnes, Executive Vice President of Garden Consumer Products, following J.D. Walker’s retirement as President of Garden Consumer Products.
• Lowe’s will open a new store in Walton, Kentucky, next month, its first new Kentucky location since 2009.
• Sherwin-Williams has opened its expanded architectural paint and coatings manufacturing facility in Statesville, North Carolina, now its largest plant in North America.
• STIHL Inc. has appointed Sean McGinnis President, effective Oct. 1.
