Supermarket, Grocery, &  C-Store

• Big Y Foods Inc., Foxtrot Ventures Inc., King Kullen, Lund Food Holdings Inc., Superlo Foods, and Vallarta Supermarkets have recently partnered with Uber eats to offer delivery service to customers.

• Buc-ee’s Ltd. opened its first store location in Virginia this week. The 70,000 sq. ft. store is in Mount Crawford.

• Couche-Tard Inc. announced it has completed its acquisition of GetGo from Giant Eagle Inc.

• EG America LLC reportedly plans to hire 7,000 new employees over the next few months.

• Foxtrot Cafe & Market recently launched a loyalty program for its customers.

• Krasdale Foods Inc. announced Natalie Menns has been appointed Director of Customer Experience. Howie Kent has been promoted to Director of Business Insights and Retail Technology. Jose Torres has been promoted to Director of Sales. Carroll Arroyo has been named a Sales Supervisor. Joey Lebiak has joined the company as a Data Analyst.

• Price Rite Marketplace reported it will open a new 34,000 sq. ft. grocery store in Waterbury, CT, this fall.

• Bliffert Lumber & Hardware recently completed its merger with Jauquet Lumber Co.

• Costco Wholesale Corp. announced it plans to open its first location in Korea.

• Foot Locker Inc. plans to open two new Champs Sports locations in Brandon, FL, and Portland, OR.

• Gypsum Management & Supply Inc. has entered into an agreement to be acquired by The Home Depot Inc. The transaction is expected to close by January 31, 2026.

• Holt Renfrew & Co. announced its President and CEO, Sebastian Picardo is leaving the company at the end of September.

• Netflix, Inc. will open its first store locations later this year. A couple Netflix House stores are planned for King of Prussia, PA, and Dallas, TX. A third Netflix House location will open in Las Vegas, NV, in 2027.

• Primark USA announced it plans to open its first store in Tennessee next month. The location in Memphis is the first of two planned in the state; with a second store planned for Franklin.

• The Melting Pot Restaurants Inc. has named John “JC” Crawford as its new CEO, succeeding founder CEO Bob Johnston, who will become Chairman of the company. Randy Barnett was promoted to Chief Technology Officer. Mike Mobley was promoted to Chief Talent Officer. Matt Zurcher was promoted to VP of Franchise and Restaurant Operations. Daniel Stone is now Chief Business Officer. Ana Malmqvist has been appointed Chief Brand Officer.

• Panera Bread Company has named Nikka Copeland as Senior VP Transformation and Strategy.

• RAVE Restaurant Group Inc. recently opened its first Pizza Inn location in Egypt.
