• Big Y Foods Inc. is opening a new grocery store in Westborough, MA, this week. The company plans to open another store in Uxbridge, MA, in early October.

• PCC Community Markets has hired Amy Chow as its new CFO. She succeeds Chris Naismith, who is retiring.

• SpartanNash Company reported Jason Ulichnie has been named VP of OwnBrands Marketing. Ed Rybicki has been named Senior VP and CIO. Brett Hoffman has joined the company as VP and Chief Information Security Officer.

• Tawa Supermarkets Inc. announced it will open its first 99 Ranch Market store in Portland, OR, this month.

• Trader Joe’s Co. reported it will open its first grocery store in New Orleans, LA, this month.

Restaurant

• Maggiano’s Little Italy reported Rich Kissel has been named as COO. Dominique Bertolone is stepping down as President of the company. Kevin Hochman, President and CEO of Brinker International Inc., is assuming his duties.

• White Rhino Coffee reported it has promoted Sara Escamilla to President and CEO. She succeeds Chris Parvin, who is leaving the company.

Retail

• Claire’s Holdings LLC reported it plans to close approximately 700 store locations, including all of its Icing locations and 210 shop-in-shop locations inside Walmart stores.

• Dollar General Corp. has recently partnered with Uber Eats to offer delivery to its customers.

• HomeGoods Inc.  reported it will open four new store locations this month in IL, IN, NC, and NY.

• Indochino Inc. has expanded its partnership with Nordstrom Inc. to open five additional shop-in-shops in its department stores in CO, FL, IL, and WA.

• Scheels Sports announced it will open a new store in Oklahoma City, OK, in the spring of 2028.

• Urban Outfitters Inc. announced it is expanding its Maeve brand into a standalone retail concept. The first location will open in Raleigh, NC, in October. Three more stores will open over the next year.
