• Winn-Dixie has completed the conversion of eight Harveys Supermarket locations to the Winn-Dixie banner and plans additional Florida store openings in the coming months.

Restaurant
• Darden Restaurants opened 27 net new LongHorn Steakhouse restaurants in the quarter ended May 31 and plans to convert 11 former Bahama Breeze locations to other concepts.
• Domino’s has announced CEO Russell Weiner will retire and move into the Executive Chairman role on October 1; COO Joe Jordan will replace him as CEO.
• Southpaw has acquired 43 Taco Bell restaurants in Ohio from Mas Restaurant Group, expanding the Taco Bell and Dunkin’ franchisee into Ohio.
• Starbucks plans to hire 300 coffeehouse coach roles this month and thousands by year-end following a successful 62-store test.

• Allbirds Inc. has officially changed its name to Smartbird Inc. and named Nadia Carlsten president and CEO.
• Bath & Body Works will launch a curated product assortment in more than 600 Ulta Beauty stores starting July 12.
• Best Buy CFO Matt Bilunas will depart effective July 31, and the company is conducting an external search for a successor.
• Burlington Stores has opened a 2 million-square-foot high-tech distribution center in Ellabell, Georgia.
• FAO Schwarz has opened a second New York City location inside Nordstrom’s NYC flagship and will roll out assortments across all Nordstrom stores later this year.
• Nike CFO Matthew Friend is leaving; Pfizer CFO David Denton will replace him on August 17.
• Stitch Fix has appointed Sree Sreedhararaj as Chief Product and Technology Officer, overseeing technology, product, data science, security and IT.
• Target will open 11 new stores across the U.S. in July, across Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Kentucky, Massachusetts, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas and Utah adding to its goal of 30 new stores in 2026.
