• Good Food Holdings named Adam Caldecott President and CEO on Oct. 5, succeeding Neil Stern, who remains an advisor and board member.

• RaceTrac named Jill Pemberton Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Karla Ahlert, who became the company’s first Chief Administrative Officer.

• Shipt named Raj Kapoor its next CEO, effective Oct. 18. He succeeds Kamau Witherspoon.

• Food Lion opened a supermarket in Charlotte, NC, at Mintworth Commons on Oct. 7.

• Portillo’s announced Chief People Officer Jill Waite will depart Nov. 1.

• Sweetgreen named Lauren Crowley Chief People Officer, effective Oct. 26.

• True Food Kitchen closed 12 of its 46 restaurants while filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Oct. 4; 34 remained open.

• Dunn Brothers Coffee signed a development agreement for new shops in Davenport and Clinton, IA, and East Moline, IL, with the first expected in 2027.

• L&L Hawaiian Barbecue signed a five-unit development agreement to enter Alberta, Canada, with its first Edmonton restaurant planned for 2027.

• Tiki Taco announced its seventh Kansas City-area restaurant for the Crossroads Arts District, scheduled to open the week of Oct. 12.
